Re: Air Bravo
"Temporary" layoffs were issued last week. Company has gone from 5 bases with 9 aircraft to 3 bases with 4 aircraft in less than a year. DOM quit a few months ago. CP quit before that. Ops Mgr quit before him.
New captains are to now provide a significant sum of cash up front in order to be sent down to SimCom.
Feel free to PM for more info.

Sometimes it's classier to just pull the plug, than to lie there and bleed out.

+1
They are in really bad shape from my understanding and they have been deteriorating rapidly since the start if this year. It was expected they would not make it into 2014 but they are still hanging in there till the bitter end.

Re: Air Bravo
What happened? They were booming a few years ago. I thought they were on their way to taking over most of the work that thunder did.
Re: Air Bravo
Not even close. Thunder, from what I hear, is doing quite well on the medivac side.
As odd as it seems after a layoff, Bravo has just hired a couple new FO's. Say what you will about the company, they seem to always find a way to survive. A big problem I see is the PC-12. While it's an incredible airplane to fly, it's lifespan isn't meant for this kind of flying. With a 20000 hr life inspection, it's got a time limit on it. And at 4 mil for a new one, it's beyond a lot of smaller companies to keep upgrading aircraft. You can go pick up an MU2 or King Air for a few hundred grand.

Re: Air Bravo
Anyone have any recent info on this operator? Has the 3 bases, 4 aircraft changed in any way? Thanks.

It is sailing about as good as the titanic on its maiden voyage.
