I assume there was an extended delay at the gate while the crew changed their shorts and let the brakes cool.....

The comments on the video link are interesting .... the proponents indicating this was a safe situation "because nobody was hurt" is quite something. If that's the acceptable criteria of an airline, they are a few decades behind the state of the art.
