Pre-Purchase AME Lower Mainland

Hey all,

Does anyone know who I could contact regarding a pre-purchase inspection on a Cessna 185 float plane? I was hoping there would be a few recommendations on here. PM for more details if you are an AME who can do this. Would need to be done by last week in April.

You might try Darren Adam. He did the pre-purchase and first annual on my Cherokee last year and he came highly recommended. He's based in Courtenay, but is mobile and does work all over the lower mainland and on the island. I found him to be easy to deal with, knowledgeable, and reasonably priced, though he does get a bit busy this time of year. His e-mail is wingwrench at gmail.com

Another +1 here. Dale was extremely helpful with our purchase of a 150 in Van.

Coast Dog Aviation for sure. Dale did the pre-purchase inspection on my 185 on floats a few years back. Top notch, and knows just about everyone - he was able to talk direct with the pilots/maintainers of my (future) aircraft that he knew and get the inside lowdown on the aircraft. It made the purchase decision real easy. They also did a bang up job on preparing the 185 for the salty west coast once I got it down here.
