Warbird Trainers Workshop.

Post by fleetcanuck »

For those attending the COPA Convention.

The Commonwealth Air Training Plan Museum, Brandon, MB is hosting a Warbird Trainers Workshop. Those attending the convention can stop in Brandon. We will begin Friday morning with a meet and greet, guided museum and Memorial Wall tour. This will be followed by ground school on the Stinson HW75, DH82A Tiger Moth, PT26 Cornell and Harvard Mark 2. In the afternoon we will depart Brandon for some air work and a cross country challenge flight to Lyncrest airport. There, we will participate in the Springfield Flying Club BBQ and bonfire. Participants will then be free to take part in convention activities.

After the convention we will have another cross country flight to Brandon with a stop in Erickson for the Father's Day Fly In breakfast. In Brandon, you will have another opportunity to tour the museum and Memorial Wall and we will conduct a debrief session.

We offer those attending a rare opportunity to experience flying through the same skies, in the same aeroplanes, as our young airforce recruits of seventy-five years ago. Some of these prairie airfields, such as Brandon, site of SFTS 12 are still active, while others in the area, such as Chater, have been converted to other uses, but can still be identified from the air.

If you would like to take part in this Warbird Trainer Workshop, please contact me by PM.
to register. Cost for the Warbird Trainers Workshop is $4000, including CATP Museum membership. Registration will be on a first come, first recruited basis and will be limited to one trainee per aeroplane.
