Brazeau Airstrip
Anyone been in there lately? COPA site said someone was there this year. If you're wondering what I'm talking about, you can see it at N52 83' W116 71' on Google maps. Flew by it a few days ago, looked in ok shape if you have some big wheels.

Oilfield geotechs spilled a whole batch of uranium, didn't report it.
Area Wild life now very large and dangerous, stay out.

Walked the runway last year, thumbsized to one inch diameter trees growing in from runway edges, width less than 30 feet in about six places, above cessna 172 wing height.
Asphalt heaves, cracks, pavement still landable though, if two chainsaw hours put into cutting small trees from edges .Oil co has land vehicle fuel cache nw end.
Not landable as is.

FYI - it's 52 58 and 115 52. It's hard to have more than 60 minutes in a lat or long.Shiny Side Up wrote:...you can see it at N52 83' W116 71'...
