I hated the colonel and his wee beady eyes and that smug look on his face, "Ohhhh you're gonna buy my chicken Ohhhhhhhhh".
But ya, everyone seems happy for the most part, 14 day sked, bases in YVR, YLW, YYC, YXE, YQT, YHM and YHZ. Start as S/O on the 727 and can go onto the Convair or FO on the 727 after that. Starting pay in the mid 30s with per diems.

Good company to work for. Sourapple answered most of it. On top of salary and per diems you get extended health plan, life insurance and pension plan, and in the recent years we received profit sharing as well.
YYZ is base for the passenger flying on B727 and B737-800. The B737-800 crews fly out of the UK in the summer months. Pilots are unionized with ALPA. Upgrading SO to FO B737-800 is not possible, only FO CV58 or FO B727 to FO B737-800. Time to upgrade from SO to FO is approx. 3 1/2 years at the present time. However, SO's got upgraded as short as 5 months going FO on the Convair and 1 1/2 years on the B727 in recent years. It all depends on industry movement and expansion. Due to our new improved collective agreement less pilots are leaving for greener pastures and considering Kelowna Flightcraft as a career and not a stepping stone. Last initial SO ground school finished in December 2003. As far as I know no initial ground school planned in the near future.
Hope that answers your questions.
