Questions
hi,
I'm interested about applying for Jazz and I have few questions
-I've seen on . that starting salary for an FO is 43k, is that accurate? Are per diems included in that number?
-Are you paid during training?
-How many days OFF can you expect per month? Are they in a row? My plan is to rent an appartment in YUL or YYZ and go back to my hometown (1 hr away from YUL and deserved by Jazz) when I have 2 days OFF or more in a row.
-Do you have to pay anything when you travel on jumpseat or with the AC pass?
thanx!

Re: Questions
The new contract has new hires starting pay $36 per credit hour. Min guarantee is 77.5 credits per month, average 82.5. Low end salary $34000 to high end $37000. You can do as much OT as you want now at 1.5 times, however, if you have a family, you will find doing any more then 2 per month is not feasible!
Yes full pay with reduced perdium during training.
Guaranteed 12 days off per month. If you know your CARs Regs, this is what you can expect to get off. 4 day pairing then 36 hrs off then another 4 dayer. Eventually you will get 3 or more days off in a row. You can bid your days off as you wish, getting them depends on the almighty seniority list!
When you commute for work, you will be standby. You pay about $110 for a return ticket between YUL and YYZ. There are other options for jumpseating, WestJet is about half the cost then on AC. Porter is free!

Re: Questions
6 months before you get AC passes.
I would not worry about commuting/living if you don't have an interview
