Air Tindi King Air 250 Captain
Hey everyone, just wondering if anyone can PM me regarding the recent posting for the King Air 250 Capt at Air Tindi. Is there a typo in the add or have they acquired a King Air 250? Just looking for current pay/conditions. Thanks
Re: Air Tindi King Air 250 Captain
I think they are 250s. Brand new ones too...and I've heard they swapped out the ProLines for G1000s.

It is a typo. They have 350's and the G1000 AHRS can go pole to pole and can save you about 250 lbs useful load over the proline 21!!

They are acquiring 3 brand new 250's with G1000's. I believe they already took delivery of one.

They already have one, I believe the callsign is C-GNWT. it will be 3 total, and the 350 is based in Cambridge Bay.

Did a little researching last night on the registry website and did confirm they have three 250's to their name now and it looks like one is online for sure according to Tindi's Facebook page. Not sure about conditions/pay etc...but it looks as though the equipment would be a nice perk to this position.

No typo. They've had at least one 250 (possibly a second, I can't remember if there was a second one in the hangar) since late April. I was on board one of them briefly. It still had the Proline system and executive interior installed, but it was going to be converted to medevac and G1000.

Now I'm confused. Beech actually has a King Air 250. I thought it was a typo. There's a 250 EP with the same range as the 350 as well. I learned new things today.
Looks like 50 more horse a side only so I'd bet the 30% fuel savings comes from being RVSM and possibly a bigger hot section allowing that power to go higher, and able to hit FL350. Just guessing considering there's still 544 gal.
Tindi doesn't list them on their fleet though.

Why's that unfortunate? Clearly you have little knowledge of Collins Prolines or you would know even the basics, they are unable to be switched to True navigation which is very important in the north.

I've operated both systems in King Airs. So I am fully aware of the system limitations, I'd rather have a Garmin 430/530 than a 1000. The 3000 or 5000 are a different story I quite like them but the 1000 I didn't like.

I'm pretty sure the proline automatically switches to true... Didn't fly a proline up north, but I seem to remember dicking around with it one day and it gave me a little "T" beside the track for Resolute to Cambridge when I punched those in.
