Cost to Paint a Small Cessna? vs…. Polished Aluminium :D

Post by DonaldDuck »

i'm shopping for a 'poor man's plane haha i.e. an old Cessna. Pretty much all the planes I have looked at have '6/10' scruffy paint that is oxidized, peeling, and just generally shabby

What does a good Paint job run these days on a little Cessna (172 or 152)?

..and…….

What about stripping paint and going Polished aluminium? (on a plane that will be kept outside). I love the look of these planes but I understand the stripping process is pretty labour intensive as well as the detail regimen.

Maybe you have experience with either option :)
