Flight Crews & safety razors

Post by PositiveRate27 »

Decided to mature a little bit and buy a safety razor. Can't beat the shave, or the price. Just curious if flight crews are allowed safety razors through NPS? My original thought is a resounding no, but I figured I'd ask anyway.

Forget about it. If you ever get through London, uk security screening just give me a show. even as a flight crew member.
Worse case scenario they'll take your blades. the fear on their face when you give the blade is really worth it.

My understanding is that non cartridge type razor blades are prohibited. But if you try and they take a blade away who cares... 10¢...

All razor bladed are forbidden in Cuba, even disposable safety razors. There's always going to be somewhere that has a problem with anything.

Just pack a disposable as backup. Then if they take it is isn't a big deal.
They don't always see the safety razor in my bag, so I imagine you could get through in most cases.

A mile of road will take you a mile, but a mile of runway can take you anywhere

If it fits in the allowed category, carry a printed copy of it with you, I don't believe they're allowed discretion on allowed items.
Edited because I realized we don't live in the Canadian bubble but I imagine wherever you're flying should have a site you can checked on allowed items.

They took mine away as well today. Had been travelling with it for a while now.
