Candidate Selection Process
Hello all...I'm in my final 6 months of candidacy for ATC. Just wondering if ANYONE knows anything about the selection process in this regard...Do they choose you for course placement solely based on your score? (i.e. I assume after all testing and interviews have been finished they assign you a "score"). Or perhaps they may add weight to the fact that you have been in the pool longer as well so it might move you up the list when you are nearing the end. I ask because I've been in the pool this long without a call, and I know there were for sure more candidates added in the last month, which means most likely that I'm father down the list than ever based solely on scores. I'm waiting for a response from recruitment on this, but in the mean time I thought maybe someone may know something about it. Thanks for any input.
Re: Candidate Selection Process
When you successfully complete the process you are ranked relative to everyone else already on the list and with everyone else that completed the process at the same time as you. As they hold more sessions it is entirely possible for you to drop on the list as people who are ranked higher get placed above you. I can't imagine they would take from the bottom of the list just because someone has been there a long time. That would defeat the purpose of the ranking process and be contrary to their desire to take the very best that are available at that particular time.
