I just recently got my canadian citizenship and i need to update my license to show my change of citizenship. Do i need to apply for a new booklet?
if i have to apply for a new booklet what documents do i need to submit?
if anyone has experience or info regarding the same would be really helpful

Congrats! I had the same situation and as I understand is personal preferance if you want to change it, as you most likely hold two passports and can have either listed. If you hear otherwise let me know!!

Re: change of citizenship
You are correct. The license must show a current citizenship- if you have multiple the choice is yours which one to show (although I see no benefit in showing an alternative one if you do have Canadian citizenship). Unlike US Airman certificates, Canadian licenses and permits cannot show more than one citizenship so if you have multiple citizenships you have to chose which one you want to display on your license and, of course provide proof of it to Transport.PointyEngine wrote:Congrats! As you point out, citizenship laws are complex and determined by each country- for some countries the act of acquiring another citizenship means losing the one they had.
