IMO, they should all be named after people prominent in the aviation history of this country.

There was a pretty serious effort behind-the-scenes to get the airport named after Fred McCall. Obviously whatever useless hipster-marketing agency they wasted money on felt it better to recommend the airport align itself along food-trucks and beard-festivals.

When you only have 140 characters to share your wisdom with the world, YYC takes up way less of them than any actual name they would come up with. Unless the wanted to name it Joe or Bob.
