Dead Heading
It would be an interesting comparison about how many hours a month does your company have you DH and do you get credit or $$ for it?
Gravity always wins
Re: Dead Heading
At Canjet we got 50% for dead head. Some months it added a lot to the total.

Re: Dead Heading
I probably do less than 25 hrs a year of head heading. We get half credit.
I want to die like my grandfather did, peacefully in his sleep. Not screaming in terror like his passengers...
Re: Dead Heading
D/H and commute are two totally different things at most companies. I spend about 5 hours a month deadheading and while I don't actually get any credit for the dh I may end up getting extra because of duty period.
Re: Dead Heading
Zero credit for head deading except for when the duty ratio kicks in.
Other than that lots of pretzels or if you are really, really lucky, a bag of Miss. Vickie's finest.

Re: Dead Heading
At Sunwing we get 1/2 credit for deadheading. The amount depends on the type of flying you bid or what is leftover if you are junior. Some guys dead head enough that they are Air Canada 25k and some guys haven't had a dead head in years.
