Sounds like it won’t be retroactive for pay purposes. It’ll just start in Jan 1st, 2025

"Regardless of the work rule package the pilot team chooses, the compensation elements are the same and the new compensation package will take effect and will be retractive to January 1st, 2025"

Sounds to me like the new pay won't take effect until the voting is complete and the package is implemented but will then be retroed to Jan 1.

That does sound pretty cut and dry. But he specifically mentioned "retroactive" and I don't know how you retroactively apply REA or commuting rules to an event that has already happened so that leads me to believe he's referring to pay.

If you read the sentence, key words are “compensation policy changes”, unless there is some compensation(monetary) associated with the commuting policy changes, there would not be anything to apply retroactively.
