At the time I bought mine it was one of the largest Seiko made and they're around the same age. I bought it just before GST happened.

You are right. Big! You use less weights when diving. I also used it as a hammer. But the best 800 dollars I ever spent. :smt040

Mine sucks back the batteries with all the extra little analogue dial motors. :( It was less expensive at between 4 and 5 hundred bucks.

I do more than 5 years on a battery. :smt040

I'm lucky to get three and I go to a guy that does a pressure test so it's pricey too. :(

I wonder if Dan is following this thread or just went and bought a nice Timex? I have been hard on watches in the past, two of my favorites were a Timex and a Casio I bought in highschool.

I might post a picture of two cheap watches I bought that are really cool that I have but don't buy batteries for as I have not worn a watch for years and will probably only wear the Seiko when I fly.

The Swiss watch clinic guy said I should not use mine in water any more. It passed the pressure test but because of it's age the seals in the push buttons will be getting dried out soon.
