Did not know that, Thanks. I wonder if it is a private charter because Transat is not showing a YYC-MBJ program.whiteguy wrote:YYC. One arriving just after midnight tonight from MBJ!Huge Hammer wrote:

I just don't know why the @#$! they didn't consult with you justa? I mean they run the largest vertically intergrated vacation company in canada turning a $45 million dollar profit in the same quater that conquest vacations whent bankrupt, they pay their pilots well and most people their are happy. But they should destableize their airline operations for a few narrow body trips during the peak season. If, in fact, Transat is chartering Enerjet, it's official, Transat execs are morons. They're going to charter themselves out of western Canada, if not out of business. You'd think they learned their lesson with Westjet.

Wrong series (that's an -800)...... I know, I know picky but the truth hurts. Nice model though.
Does the 737 have the range to do YVR-Punta Cana? The wife and I went there a few years ago on AC. They used a 767 and if memory serves me correctly it was over 8hrs coming back.boeingboy wrote:YVR - To Puta Cana and Montego bay
I think they are making a stop somewhere ie Edmontonbcflyer wrote:Does the 737 have the range to do YVR-Punta Cana? The wife and I went there a few years ago on AC. They used a 767 and if memory serves me correctly it was over 8hrs coming back.boeingboy wrote:YVR - To Puta Cana and Montego bay
That's correct Vancouver - Edmonton - Punta CanaCitationSov wrote:I think they are making a stop somewhere ie Edmontonbcflyer wrote:Does the 737 have the range to do YVR-Punta Cana? And I argue the narrow body charters will bite them in the ass some day.roger.roger wrote:I just don't know why the @#$! they didn't consult with you justa? ahhhhhhhhhh. I get it, enerjet is planning on setting up thousands of travel agencies as well as buying 40 000+ rooms world wide at resorts then selling them as resort packages. having a billion+ dollars in revenue and going head to head with Transat. despite their business plan being very specific as too not doing that. With all the reaserch you've done on this I can see why your consulting fees are so high. And I argue the narrow body charters will bite them in the ass some day.
btw they couldn't afford my consulting fees!
your a very confused individual if you think that the charters that WJ was doing for Transat were a signifigant factor in where they are today. your a complete moron if you think WJ vacations is a concern for Transat. I never said don't have an opinion, just don't be suprised when you get bitch slapped for being dumb.Classic. They grossly underestimated WJ in it's infancy too. Did you forget there's a significant portion of those WJ day-oner's over at Enerjet? Throwing EJ even measly scraps could give them the foothold they need to make a big headache for someone 'big' and 'comfortable' in their market position.
Hey, but wtf do I know, according to you I shouldn't have an opinion.
right, so your thought's are that enerjet is going to take over the vacation business in the narrow body market with no infastructure and 2 airplanes?I admire your confidence, but if you're stupid enough to think that WJ had no bearing on how profitable Transat was then you, my friend, need a crisp bitch slap to the head.
Are you seriously that near sighted with tunnel vision?roger.roger wrote:right, so your thought's are that enerjet is going to take over the vacation business in the narrow body market with no infastructure and 2 airplanes?I admire your confidence, but if you're stupid enough to think that WJ had no bearing on how profitable Transat was then you, my friend, need a crisp bitch slap to the head.
Have you even read enerjets business plan??????? the man behind the company left WS cause they moved away from the original vision of the company. The one thing they have stated over and over is they are not going into larger markets and they are not going head to head with any of the major players. Are you seriously that near sighted with tunnel vision?
