If, in fact, Transat is chartering Enerjet, it's official, Transat execs are morons. They're going to charter themselves out of western Canada, if not out of business. You'd think they learned their lesson with Westjet.

I still don't see where Transat is doing Punta Cana and MBJ from Western Canada. I also have to wonder what the crew duty day is on these routes, seems like it would be pretty close to 14 hours.

I mean they run the largest vertically intergrated vacation company in canada turning a $45 million dollar profit in the same quater that conquest vacations whent bankrupt, they pay their pilots well and most people their are happy. But they should destableize their airline operations for a few narrow body trips during the peak season.

ahhhhhhhhhh. I get it, enerjet is planning on setting up thousands of travel agencies as well as buying 40 000+ rooms world wide at resorts then selling them as resort packages. having a billion+ dollars in revenue and going head to head with Transat. despite their business plan being very specific as too not doing that. With all the reaserch you've done on this I can see why your consulting fees are so high.

Throwing EJ even measly scraps could give them the foothold they need to make a big headache for someone 'big' and 'comfortable' in their market position.

The one thing they have stated over and over is they are not going into larger markets and they are not going head to head with any of the major players.
