AC pilots will be flying under these work rules for at least 4 more years.Whatsagambit? wrote: ↑Tue Sep 24, 2024 7:04 amI think the QOL improvements were originally brought up but got drowned out by either senior captains telling everyone to shut up because they will spend the majority of their career at the top pay scale. Or younger FOs saying how they getting a raise that's larger than their salary is completely unfair.PA-18 wrote: ↑Mon Sep 23, 2024 9:49 pm All I read about on this TA issue is people complaining about junior pay. Does nobody care about the lack of lifestyle improvements? Training outside the block? Working 18days on a wide body? The money is there… but how about freeing up some more time off in the month.
Perhaps focusing on the QOL improvements everyone wanted before the TA was released would be a good idea. You should make a post about everything everyone wanted and exactly what this TA doesn't fix. Maybe that will shift the discussion.
Notice of intent to bargain issued no sooner than May 2027. Bargaining in to 2028. And if any work rule improvements are negotiated successfully at that time, there will be an implementation timeline (typically a year or more). So these working conditions may be in place until 2029.
$$ in exchange for productivity has been the mantra of the AC Pilot CBA for decades. That did not change in 2024.
