I'm curious, why is the prop on the HA turbo otter feathered? I see no operational advantages in doing so.

There is no advantage. They are usually/normally shut down on the blade latches. Someone didnt catch the latches that day

When the leaves are all gone the Tamaracks turn on their magic. Took off with an audience of Does and Fawns looking on. Checked out my neigbors airstrips and said hi. Calm fall air, a touch of cabin heat, and splendid sunset to make it one of them unforgettable days.

Ditto, I'm sure there are a lot of jealous pilots looking at those shots. Cheers.

A SAR C-130 out of Trenton was doing laps around Sarnia and had a bleed air leak, so they parked it on the ramp. They sent another one down with crew and parts to repair it. Sarnia was one airplane short of a base for a couple days.

I obviously have access to the other side of the apron where all the general aviation activity happens. I went down to the terminal and asked security politely if I could wander around on the ramp and take pictures for a little while. I was quickly denied. Really? I mean, this IS Sarnia NOT Pearson International. I think Marathon has more activity! A quick flash of the Military ID and the tone changed instantly and security walked me through the doors and introduced me to a kind Corporal.

Anyways, here are some of the better shots.

I can't wait for the season to start up. Then I'll be ripping through the frames. Not much to take pictures of around here haha.
