Corn-Shoot....

Suppose you got a job with TC that pays you a livable salary with full medical and a good pension plan, easy working hours with known days off, you would be bullet proof as far as getting fired and you could make as many fu.. ups as you desired with the full backing of your employer....

Ever thought of quitting general aviation and moving over to TC?

As well you would have many, many more colleauges with whom to associate with, as there are getting to be more TC employees than general aviation people that are employed........jeesees the plusses are endless..... :D

So come on man what think thee of that??

Don't worry, Corn-Shoot has to much on the ball, they would never hire him.

That would be like a Chief pilot hiring someone with one hundred times his own experince and knowledge.

So naw, we ain't gonna be ramp checked with anyone with an ID tag with Corn-Shoot below the picture.

.......... Dream of flying

I know it doesn't work perfectly but hey, I guess my glass is half full. It may be hard for some of you out there, but there are pilots that enjoy flying.

Take care

A decent bank account and much lower blood pressure! In hindsight I should have joined the fire department instead!

Jimmyjazz :

If I had thousands of letters of reference for employment with TC they would deny my interview and application.

And it would not be possible to get access to the reason for not being hired.

NOTE:

THIS:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

These people don't miss a thing when it comes to covering their asses.

I have in my posession an internal policy document that was admitted to being genuine by the Regional Director General when I produced it in my harassassment complaint against one of their M&M inspectors.

This document has printed in big letters on the top.

PROTECTED.... Shred when finished.

What the document says in part is that the paper work, interview notes and any other items are to be sealed in an envelope with your name and file number on it, and marked.. Not accessible under freedom of information due to sensitive material contained herein.

That should run shivers of fear down the spines of anyone in aviation knowing that at their whim they can arbitrarily over ride the charter of rights and deny you fair and due process.

Now if enough of you were to get together and get the paper work in place I would apply and endure the anguish of being so close to such a morally corrupt group as TC management. I bet if I were to really search my memory banks I have been in contact with parasites on that level somewhere before in some dark corner of this planet.

By the way their protected internal policy document was sent to me by one of their own in a big brown unmarked envelope.............They also fear and hate each other........

I used to have many things. I still have them. Now I have better things...a good job and a good life. And I don't mind getting up to go to work either!

Cheer up people! It's not all that bad.

If you enjoy what you are doing, get laid regularly, have a roof over your head, some food in your gut, and enough jingle to buy a case of beer when you feel like it, than you are doing better than most.

Well said Northern Flyer.
How many can say they really love what they do also? (Not counting the crappy pay, long hours, job insecurity, no benifits, no pension... oh forget it!)

j.a.p...you said it...this thread is so depressing.

I humbly submit that I am very happy with my job. I don't work long hours, get 6 months off per year, make a decent salary and fly very well maintained eqpt. Now, i don't have the benefit of filling my log book very fast, (probably at half the rate that some of you guys are doing up there with nort_wright, or Borec, etc)and i won't see any jet time for eons (unless I change jobs), but I would rather have a good lifestyle and be flying less complex eqpt, than flying something bigger and more complex and have no life. IMHO.

A job that I really didn't want to do, and a mediocre paycheque. There's been some dumps along the way (the old pilot house behind the Bartmart at YIV springs to mind) but now, I look forward to work every day.

...no job, a room in my parent's basement, a piece of shit car, a dream, some goals, a few less grey hairs, a season's pass to Lake Louise, no debt, and usually a pretty bad hangover.

Now I am a pilot and I have, a job, a room in my roomates basement, a newer piece of shit car, a bigger dream, a few more goals, a few more grey hairs, a C-5 Galaxy load of debt, and did I mention a mondo student loan?, and sometimes the captain lets me land!

Fair trade if you ask me.
