Re: Encore interview request
I applied a couple of weeks ago.. My status on the employment website says "in progress" and "we will email you with the next steps". It's been about 3-4 days since the update. How long did you hear back after that?
Re: Encore interview request
I applied in January pretty much around the same time they opened the portal.
Jan 17th recieved the hirevue request.
Jan 20th completed the hirevue.
Feb 7th received the interview request which the earliest date was in a month and half.
I’ll update when the time comes.

Re: Encore interview request
I have my Hirevue video interview scheduled for this week. Can someone provide any info on what to expect ie questions/scenarios the program might ask? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated! Cheers!

Good luck out there! Can you provide some insight as to what items to study for the interview? Technical questions? Situational questions? Anything would be appreciated.rwy31 wrote: ↑Thu Feb 13, 2025 6:53 am I applied in January pretty much around the same time they opened the portal.

Re: Encore interview request
The interview was pretty straight forward , very relaxing atmosphere with one Flight ops & one HR personnel , no technical questions , tell me about yourself , they go over your training file history , some STAR questions (lots of examples online) not IFR STAR.. interview ones , tell us about a time when … how did you contribute to a succesful ending type stuff , what does a successful career mean to you , where do you see yourself in a few years etc , why should we hire you , They will ask about your current job , nothing too crazy , unfortunately they reached out to me a week later and I was unsuccessful at this time. I was invited to reapply in 6 months. Best of luck to you!

Re: Encore interview request
The hirevue is just some questions so they can get to know a bit about you , can’t really recall any , but you have time to practise your answer before submitting. You’ll need a pen and paper for one of the questions. But it tells you this. All very straight forward.
If successful they will reach out to you sometime after to schedule a formal interview.

Just completed the hirevue and had 8 questions.
1. Why pilot?
2. Why Encore?
3. What 3 skills are necessary for success in our ground school/training.
4. Why are you the best candidate for this role?
5. Scenario question: what would you do if you were turning final and crosswinds reported were too strong for your personal limitations?
6. Tell us about your glass cockpit/autopilot/ifr experience to date
7. Audio recording from an ifr clearance * needs a pen and paper and then you get one chance at reciting it back to them.
8. What would you say your biggest challenge going into this role would be?

Re: Encore interview request
I don't know why people want to go to Encore. Is it just one of several places you're trying to go, or is there more reason that you want to go to Encore?Eh380 wrote: ↑Thu Apr 03, 2025 7:52 pm Thanks for all the help!

Honestly I’m open to any 705 operation. I’m currently working 703 and my work life balance is really suffering.dontcallmeshirley wrote: ↑Thu Apr 03, 2025 7:58 pmI don't know why people want to go to Encore. We've all been there. Just know that Encore, as it is, is nothing but a stepping stone to AC or PD (or TS if you like risk).

I know, everything other than AC PD is pretty much a stepping stone at this point. Why is TS risky?

Always in the red. Stock doing poorly but it’s probably always gonna get bailed out my Quebec so not as risky as some say. People there love working there, though first year pay not great and was told the benefits deductions are high. So take home is pretty low for a new FO
