Still no word back, no interview/etc.

They’ve interviewed and hired about 3-4 guys from my outfit in the last 1-1.5 years. So similar time as me.

Old experience, but I was seeing the same thing, in my day trying to get on... Had been applying and updating and maintaining a profile and application for years on their system. Watched guys getting hired all around me with way less time and experience...

I ended up creating a whole new profile on their system and resubmitting my application... I got called within a couple weeks.

It's like it ends up buried in their system or something I think, the proverbial envelope with a successful application that fell between the desk and the wall and the clerk couldn't be bothered to fish it out.

That has literally happened here.

Not sure exactly how AC's recruitment system works, and this may not be your particular circumstance, but...

There is a lot more to getting the call than times in the logbook. I know it's 2026, however there's still an element of selling yourself and your presentation through the application ("application" meaning portal profile, resume and cover letter PDFs plus whatever else AC asks for). If your stuff doesn't line up or make sense, it can cause recruiters to ask around and dig up stuff that may preclude you from moving forward, no matter what your times are.

There are many components looked at though the application process alone, let alone the interview and ref checks. Airlines are desperate for pilots, but there is still a level of competition.

Very excellent advice. I was still selling myself through every email I had with the HR people while they were setting up medical appointment or whatever. Mention something interesting or exciting about the flying you did on the day you are replying to them. Use every little opportunity you can to set yourself apart. 9 out of 10 people are probably just replying "I'll be there, thanks very much".

Yes. Be sure to tell the secretary about that greaser you had and the time your super flying skills saved your company. Don't forget Tim bits for the girl that swishes your urine around testing for what you ate last night. That's what it's all about.

What bugs me is folks posting here as if AC (or any other companies for that matter) owed them a job and if that company passes on them a few times, they are automatically incompetent...
