I'm guessing you get used it though. If you're not used to it, it would be worse I imagine.

The only jobs you're really exposed to this kind of turbulence on a regular basis is pipeline patrol, CASARA and survey work AFAIK. So I'm wondering why people think it's abnormal for an airline pilot to feel sick in this situation when he or she is almost never exposed to it.

I had a passenger sick in a small Cessna before. It wasn't that turbulent and I felt fine before the incident. But after the guy starting his wretching, the noise and smell in the hot plane almost made me sick. I had to get on the ground quickly.

China Airlines B 747 August 82 two passengers killed
Eastern Airlines DC 9 Oct 90 Florida one passenger dead
Air France B 747 Africa Sept 5 96 thirty passenger injured one dead
United Airlines B 747 near Japan Dec 97 one passenger killed
These are flights that encounter turbulence severe enough to kill passengers,
however there aren't any reports of the pilots getting sick or incapacitated.
I think that with the Sky Regional crew turbulence may have been the trigger but not the cause
Will see
