Get a DC and forget about it...
Sennheiser supports the headset. And will, as long as the company is around. My brother in-law is in the music industry and they service his 10+ year old shit.

The Senn S1 is the best headset bar none. It was just too bulky for my liking. (and many others given they are pulling out of the market)

Let your balls drop, put some hair on your chest, crack a beer open, log on to spruce and order a pair of H10-13.4. Noise cancelling is for yellow bellies.

Try on a bunch before you buy. Find ones that fit your head comfortably. The Bose A20 felt like heaven compared to my Lightspeed, but others say the opposite.

DC H10-13.4's are rock solid, but hurt my head after an hour. I have a pair for the backseat passengers.
