Isis is the Egyptian Goddess of Sex and Wine.

okay, okay... I'll tell you the real story.

See... me no sprechanzie the english language good, yah?

One day, back in college, I was trying to describe the ownership of a particulate object. I wanted to say that it belonged to me and my boyfriend.
Now, the sentence 'that is ours' wouldn't suffice because I'd have to explain who 'ours' refers to. So, in my 'time to invent new english' way, I tried to say "That is Eric's and I's"

After the laughing subsided, those present have ever since called me Isis.

The Egyptian Goddess thing is purely coincidental, and saves my ego from time to time.

Mine's just a nickname I picked up in high school... I really wish there was a story behind it!

I'm not Italian, nor is anyone in my family... but the name Guido seems to have stuck... 8)

My friends in high school shortened my last name in an attempt to make it easier to say, but really it’s more awkward to say than my real name. It was funny because everyone realized it was stupid and nobody thought it would stick but it did. Even my mom calls me Mro.

Here is a question for you two:

In the movie 'Aliens' the space marine mothership is the Sulaco.

I liked the sound of the word, so I added the k and made it mine.

I just use my real name so I won't be tempted to post something ignorant thinking nobody will know it's me. Keeps me honest (kinda!).
