They never seem to have concrete evidence. I suspect it's a select couple of students who unfortunately failed out and are bitter towards the school. Take their advice with a grain of salt.Canuck1988 wrote: ↑Fri Jun 19, 2020 10:57 amYeah, I got that from the other posts... I was looking for the reasons behind not being able to get flights. Is there not enough planes (or the planes out for maintenance)? Not enough instructors (or are they not motivated to fly)? Is there consistently bad weather? Do they or do you have the ability to reschedule you for makeup flights? How are the facilities and aircraft?jetstreams wrote: ↑Fri Jun 19, 2020 7:28 am Stay away from Sault Aviation. You only have to read the more then a few post here, and on other sites as to just how badly the program has become.
You have a 50/50 chance of finishing on time at best. Many/most of the class of 2020 at times went a month or longer between flights last year.
Most if not all did not even have their private license at the end of their second year!!!! It was/is a real mess. Students were leaving the program, as well many doing poorly on rides because of inconsistent frequency of flight training.
It would help if the school did not take in so many students. They get government funding per student, so you can see why they may do this.
This is your future, so spend and hour and search here, as well other sites like Reddit. Why take the chance and spend your education savings with so many saying the same thing. If you have time and money to waste, this is the school for you. Even the chair of the program left the school for another last year.
Thanks.

Re: Sault College Aviation Question
Its a shame that when so so many take the time to post of current issues at a school such as Sault College...there is always a quick post from someone that casts shadows on their legitimacy. Not sure if it is a staff members at Sault college or what, but always the same remarks trying to discredit the many posts.."Must be from students that failed out".
There are simply way to many posts on here and other forum/social media sites about the school program to just be a "bitter student". Do you ever think that the post are there to help those considering Sault Aviation and given their feedback? Would you not want to know before spending your money and years of your time?
So yes, do take a grain of salt with any posts on social media,be it pro or con. However if you see so many posts on a number of sites, all saying the same thing about Sault College Aviation program...hmmmm. Perhaps that should be enough said and red flags should be going up for you. Simply, there are perhaps some issues and your should take note. Ask why for example the class of 2020 that started in 2017, most did not even have their private done after completing 2 of the 3 years in the program!!
