Hey guys!
I have also applied to both Sault, and Confederation. I called the college, and they said the registrar who is doing the admissions ranking for the program will be back on Monday. Hopefully we all get accepted!

Not from Sault. Kinda throwing me off.
Re: Sault and Confederation Applicants. Check here.
Hey guys, so I contacted the program coordinator for Sault and she just got back to me a few minutes ago. She says that offers have not been sent out yet and they are still under the process of ranking applicants. No idea when they will send out offers, but whenever it does happen it will first update the ontario colleges site, and then there will be an email sent, and then they will send mail. I’ll update with more info as a I receive it.

Hey everyone check Ontario Colleges now. I just got accepted
Re: Sault and Confederation Applicants. Check here.
For those who got accepted to confed what was your average? I was accepted to sault and on the waitlist for confed. I got a letter from confed saying they only start making calls off of the waitlist in the summer :/
Re: Sault and Confederation Applicants. Check here.
I was also waitlisted at Confed with a 90.0% average. Seems they have a lot of applicants this year.
Re: Sault and Confederation Applicants. Check here.
Oh wow, does anyone know exactly how the waitlist system actually works? Have they already accepted everyone and then by slim chance if somebody cancels their acceptance last minute they go to the waitlist or what?

Re: Sault and Confederation Applicants. Check here.
There is a lot of overlap between the colleges with early offers of acceptance. Each college may have 80 spots, but the same 80 people could get early acceptance to every college despite there being a few hundred spots to fill.
The programs are not easy to upgauge so the colleges cannot start offering other people those spots until they know who is declining their offers. The second round is similar but perhaps a little less overlap and so on until all spots are full. One college grad told me he only got his offer a week or two before classes began.

Re: Sault and Confederation Applicants. Check here.
Thanks for the detailed reply. I guess we don't really know when approximately the second round of offers will be. I definitely don't want to be one of those guys that gets it very last second while I'm already setup for another college.TailwheelPilot wrote: ↑Mon Feb 11, 2019 7:31 am There is a lot of overlap between the colleges with early offers of acceptance. So it’s february and I’ve been accepted to sault and Confed. Was pretty dead set on Confed but now that they have removed their ifr program I’m stuck on what to do, as I’m sure many others in here are as well. I’ve heard good and bad about both programs. Im concerned about the timeline at sault as many say it takes longer than 3 years to complete. Confed you will graduate with cpl and some instrument time along with Inrat written. Not sure how long it will take to do the multi at Cornwall without the group 3 attached to it. Let me know what others are thinkingshawnthesheep wrote: ↑Thu Jan 10, 2019 9:11 am Hello Everyone,
I'm a student from Alberta who applied to Sault and Confederation. I'd love to connect on here with everyone as offers are going out in February. I think it will help tremendously in the future.

You should finish at Confederation with the knowledge required to get an instrument rating. Two weeks should be plenty to get the multi and group 1 instrument ratings at a relaxed pace. I know some people who did it in one week on spring break.
During the summer be sure to get enough cross country time to be meet the instrument rating requirement. Ask your instructor to do more instrument training and try to get in the sims on bad weather days.
