Re: Unable to contact Transport Canada
That’s why a category 4 medical is faster- it doesn’t need a TC physician’s attention, merely entering in the computer by a TC admin officer.
DId you hear the one about the jurisprudence fetishist? He got off on a technicality.
Re: Unable to contact Transport Canada
Never said it was, I just don't know where to email.
- QUEMedecineAeronautiqueCivile-CivilAviationMedicineQUE@tc.gc.ca sends me an automated message saying that the address is no longer in use and gives me a new email address (QUEMEDECINEAERONAUTIQUE-CIVILAVIATIONMEDICINEQUE@TC.GC.CA)
- QUEMEDECINEAERONAUTIQUE-CIVILAVIATIONMEDICINEQUE@TC.GC.CA gives me an address not found error
- aviation.que@tc.gc.ca sends me an automated message saying they don't have access to cat 1 and 3 medical info and to email QUEMedecineAeronautiqueCivile-CivilAviationMedicineQUE@tc.gc.ca (the first email I emailed) instead
Re: Unable to contact Transport Canada
Right. You need to give up the idea of getting your Category 3 medical for now.
Get a category 4 declaration signed by your regular doctor and email it to the aviation.que@tc.gc.ca address. Explain you’re nearly ready for solo and have been waiting for the category 3 to be processed but in the mean time want a category 4, for which the declaration is attached. Explain that TC has exceeded its own service guideline (if indeed it has) of 90 days to issue a category 3 certificate and to mitigate the delays to your training you are proactively seeking the category 4 in the mean time. Ask for expedited processing and to be emailed a temporary medical certificate.
Don’t send it to civil aviation medicine - they don’t deal with category 4 applications.

It's not you, it's them. I had the unfortunate experience to work in the place, and yes, quebec region is a serious problem that no one has had success in fixing. From what I understand, it keeps getting worse, for the life of me, cannot understand why.mtl183181 wrote: ↑Fri Aug 13, 2021 4:37 pmI'm in Quebec, Montreal specifically.notwhoyouthinkIam wrote: ↑Fri Aug 13, 2021 4:02 pm Welcome to dealing with Transport Canada.
What region are you in?
Other regions have their little things, but overall they're cool, give or take a few characters.
It's not a quebec culture thing for the peanut gallery types, life around here is pretty chill. Wish I had the answer to the quebec tc problem, I don't, so I am one of the very many who just left....................
good luck to the person who can figure it out.
Attempting to understand the world. I have not succeeded.
