Just out of curiosity, how long does it take to get an interview after an application, for someone with 13k hours and plenty of jet PIC time?
Or, what would be an indication that an application was rejected?

Not in Canada.

Canada Labour Code governs the process. There are specified timelines. However, if neither party applies for conciliation, then technically it could go on indefinitely.

In US the Railway Labour Act applies. Very different animal.

Three airplanes are showing up in July. The company and union haven't met since April. Can't blame this on some new airplanes (which are several months late arriving).

I wouldn't say people are flying out the door but anyone with experience is trickling away. They may have bought houses but rental rates are good, mortgage rates are going up and our salary is laughably low. Low time guys will be harder to get in the fall time as AC ramps up hiring. New hires are showing up to line indoc with a confirmed AC interview or start date now. It's going to happen on both ends.

My bet is that we'll have to cut back on flying because we don't have enough people soon enough (despite late aircraft deliveries).
