It ranks right up there with 2 float guys on the MF in YXL...talking to each other about whether they should go back up north to cut another load of wood...or go out for dinner and call it a day. All this while I'm entering the zone and trying to make the mandatory calls to YXL Radio on the MF. Finally told them I would have called final...but I was down and clear by the time the frequency cleared up. Some people really need to give their heads a shake.

I hear you Gelbisch....I actually enjoy flying around here for the most part....but the Green Machines and Bandits with those neverending calls...send the same chills down my spine...right before my blood pressure goes through the roof.

Ahramin:
I really couldn't care less in reality about calling final if YXL new I was there and exactly where I was. What I do care about is that for the last 7 miles of my trip....I was unable to get a word in edgewise...or find out from YXL Radio the position of any other aircraft in the busy MF area...due to a couple of Yokels...who don't understand that the purpose of a MF is not to discuss Martha's new Possum recipie....of whether or not to cut another cord of wood for a winter that is 6 months away.
Can't wait until freeze up!!!

Not to mention, if you dont make all the correct radio calls the FSS people will put a report into TC and then you get to try and explain to TC why you could not make a radio call. (try and explain to TC
)
Next time you cant make a call to fss on the MF call them on 126.7, that allways gets them becuZ you did what you could and they really cant file a report to TC.

Hey Pie lot
What are griping about? We here you guys up North making all your fancy pants calls in and out of all the strips. Maybe not as long as some(239 miles north of ywg heading no where near there) but you all make too many calls short or not!
Free up the airwaves-----yeeeeaaah!
