Upcoming gs is all jazz. So jazz is the gateway to westjet, just like encore to AC.

Re: Interview
When you say Jazz lifer, are we talking pre 2015 hire?QKZXKV wrote: ↑Wed Aug 16, 2023 7:32 am10/21 for the Aug 21st are Jazz. I know 3 of them... were Jazz lifers.canadian_aviator_4 wrote: ↑Fri Aug 11, 2023 8:15 pm Upcoming gs is all jazz. So jazz is the gateway to westjet, just like encore to AC.

Re: Interview
Like not wanting to switch employers but forced to because of the sinking ship that Jazz has become.cdnavater wrote: ↑Wed Aug 16, 2023 8:42 amWhen you say Jazz lifer, are we talking pre 2015 hire?QKZXKV wrote: ↑Wed Aug 16, 2023 7:32 am10/21 for the Aug 21st are Jazz. Re: Interview
I get that but I’m asking specifically are you talking pre 2015 hires, I’m a lifer and don’t want to switch but I’m also very much too old to be switching unless “forced” ie; sunk, not “sinking” that’s all speculation at this point. I believe Jazz will be around, in a smaller form but not gone.
Pre 2015 hires jumping ship, other than a small amount would surprise me based on the information that is available.

Re: Interview
Don't think in this specific class but a bunch I worked with have left or are considering it but they have to be DOH in the 2010s.cdnavater wrote: ↑Wed Aug 16, 2023 3:34 pmI get that but I’m asking specifically are you talking pre 2015 hires, I’m a lifer and don’t want to switch but I’m also very much too old to be switching unless “forced” ie; sunk, not “sinking” that’s all speculation at this point. Anything technical, from the aircraft you fly and so on?crystalpizza wrote: ↑Fri Jun 02, 2023 4:05 pm What made you want to work for WestJet?
What will you bring to WestJet's workplace culture?
Ever been in an accident/incident/failed a ride/needed additional training/etc
Tell me about your most challenging flight
Tell me a time when a decision you made was challenged by someone
Tell me a time when you made a mistake and corrected it
Says 90 min interview. Was just wondering why?
Re: Interview
Anyone still waiting for the offer after the reference check?
I’ve got the reference request 4hrs after the interview and it’s been 2 weeks and have not still received the offer yet.

Re: Interview
It’s possible they are waiting to see what class to slot you in. Or it’s also possible the offer isn’t coming. Reference check does not mean letter of offer.
Good luck though! I’m sure you’ll hear back soon!

Re: Interview
How much time they took to come back with the offer after all reference checks were completed?
Re: Interview
Always a good idea to follow up with your references to ensure the email has been received and the check completed in a timely manner.

Re: Interview
One of my 3 references took his sweet time, didn’t respond till day 12 post interview when I got the reference request. He responded after I politely reminded him and 20 mins later WestJet called and offered me a job.
Re: Interview
Congrats and Welcome.
One of the big attractions we have now is our new hires having the ability to choose their base of preference out of the gate.

Re: Interview
Doesn't look like the question about experience levels was answered. Any idea what the level of experience is in the new classes? (And yes I have a pulse, I think
).

Re: Interview
One of my colleagues just got in with 2500 Hrs and ATPL. But he just mentioned someone with 2000hrs he knows was placed in pool.
