good god, where do I start? (In no particular order)

First would be corporate pilot (Gulfstream 5, or by the time im older theyll have a Gulfstream 6), for a stable company, and then maybe becoming the chief pilot of the flight department...and touring around showing the new aircraft off to potential buyers...

Water bombing in the summer, and then some kind of aviation authority for some department in Airserv or other humanitarian aid organization...

Then just to be wayyyy out there, a pilot in the US Coast Guard flying the jayhawk or something... just get me in a god damn aircraft!

boo to the airline rat race

That's better.

My perfect job criteria are:

Flying a small jet, light to medium turbo prop, or even a nice piston twin like a 421 out of a ski town like Jacson Hole WY on short haul 1-2 hour flights.

At least 2 preferably 3 weekends a month off, and enough cash to buy a season's pass to the hill, a new board avery 2 years, and a new mountain bike every other 2. I believe I found the girl to do it with, now all I need is the dream job.

Oh and no backstabbing, survivor, politics, good job security, good recurrent training, and healthy commissary

The average pilot, despite the somewhat swaggering exterior, is very much capable of such feelings as love, affection, intimacy and caring.
These feelings just don't involve anyone else.

My dream job would be to take over Steve Hinton's job. For those who don't know who Steve Hinton is he runs Fighter Rebuilders and the Planes of Fame Museum in Chino California, on his spare time he does check flights in many of the new restorations accross North America, as well as doing a lot of flying for movies.

Right now I'll have to be satisfied being linecrew at YHM!

And regarding the pay for flying 'heavies' I know a retired Air Canada pilot, his pension is 75 000 a year, and another retired air canada pilot who has funded a restoration and the flying of a Fairey Firefly for the last ten years or so, this would make me think that the pilots get paid fairly well!

The 3 most important things to remember when you're old:

1) Never pass an opportunity to use a washroom
2) Never waste a hard on
3) Never trust a fart

Big Jet,
Three weeks on, one week off,
Fly 2 or 3 days a week,
1 overnight per month,
Carry as much fuel as you like (2 tons over required...No problem),
I'm not a big advocate of that one, but the "policy" is nice.
+$10000 CAD per month,
Local policy is "the captain IS the final decision"
Easy lifestyle,
Lots of girls,
Cheap drinks,
Great beaches,

My dream job??? Well, I'm still looking!
