Gurundu the rat said, "If someone can tell me how to post a pic here I'll share one of a Dash-8 loaded in a similar way.'

This gets asked so often on another forum I am on that I have a file saved.

Have at 'er:

Open an account with a photo hosting service like Photobucket <http> for example. Upload the photo you want to your online album. It will usually resize the photo or you can easily make it smaller in the edit functions.

When posting on this site and wishing to insert an image:

-open your photo site in another window
-right click on the IMG code of the photo you wish to insert and click copy
-minimize that window
-go to the avcanada reply box and paste the code in your reply.

If using Photobucket you won't need to use the "insert image" button in the advanced reply section because the code will already have all the appropriate syntax applied.

Here it is. Not nearly as entertaining as the Pop'n'chips, but I thought it was worthy of posting anyways.

Thanks for the info K-K.

Try using the [IMG] code instead of the URL to put the photo right in your post. It's two boxes lower under the photo in your album.

Nice try though! Just go use the edit function in photobucket and resize 50% at least. You'll get the hang of it!

I can remember flying a 206 packed so tight with chips and pop that there was no way to get a net or anything over it. Once you got to 7000 ish it would start sounding like pop-corn in the back....

I usually have OD go off around the 8500 mark. Can chip bag designers not come up with a northern special that would stay until the 18,000 foot mark? I'll call them next week and then post the conversation here....

i found that anything much over 7000 and you had some percentage of the chips pop in the back. At 8.5 do you still get 100% sealed bags?

As a side note: Vacuum windows break just like chips. So if you're flying them for the first time make sure you treat them like a load of chips unless you want to have some unhappy natives.

Back in the day I remember a funny story about Perimeter putting ice cream in the unpressurized nose compartment to keep it frozen. Apparently ice cream has a lot of air bubbles in it.

Here's one of my fave's. Only hauled chips once, but didn't get a pic.

Here's 2500lbs of Pepsi. It was always nice to see my tax dollars at work

I know there are dry reserves out there. Are there any that have "diet pop only" rules?

Red Lake, Sabourin Airways, DC-3 loaded with 3 pallets of pop 6000 lbs and stuff er to the roof with potatoe chips and head out to pikanjikum (spelling) once a week. Standard weights after years of eating that was more like 250 each thigh. Could have knocked my eayballs off with a stick. After crawling over those chips to get to the front some were rather small shall we say. No matter just were able to eat them tipping up the bag.
