It’s what the USA is doing. Trump has spent massively in his 100 days. His tarrifs are a tax that Americans pay. He’s turning the US into a police state. And yet their debt is still spiralling and much higher than ours as a percentage of GDP.
It’s bad under the Liberals. It would be much worse under the Conservatives as most of these are global phenomena that pay little heed to party affiliation, only to how they’ve been dealt with.
Look at the countries above Canada in their world happiness index. What kind of political systems to they have and what are their taxation rates?
And then look at the position of the USA.
According this this statement...." Canada ranks 25th in the global World Happiness Report, with a life evaluation score of 6.74 out of 10. This is a drop from 18th place last year and continues a downward trend from 5th place in 2015." And who was Prime Minister in 2015? That evil Harper that Bob rails against.

Be happy folks. Most of you voted for it. And perhaps many people(such as the recipients) are extremely happy about this. But I think it was Harper/Poilievre that voted in the 2% GST cut that has benefitted you over the last 15 years. And as for that free trade agreement that has saved our economy until now from tariffs?.....The liberals ran an entire election opposing it as a danger to Canada. Thank you Brian Mulroney and your conservative caucus. Sometimes it is 30 years down the road that a conservative policy saves your career(or your life).
