You beat me to it Cat.
As for no contact after THREE WEEKS, GGN should be ashamed - or at least the person responsible for the hiring. "Good" companies at least give a time frame for a response, one way or another.
About the language thing, I'd LOVE to be able to write passably in two or more languages, good on you John.
But there is a place for vile ill tempered hate spewing foreigners. Fuk you stl. When this clown goes off maybe it'll be in a neighborhood near you!
Some clown come on the site, writes an angry post on a company that didn't hire him, goes on to insult everyone that comments, calls everyone a redneck and takes a swipe at Canada. Yeah STL, I may have crawled out of a hole but I love this country enough to defend it from foreign shite.
You on the other hand are impressed that this clown can post in more than one language...

Three weeks silence is not fair to the canidate, if he was good enough to go through that process he deserves a more humane process than sitting at home for three weeks not knowing what the decision is.
I wonder how they would feel if all their pilots took a three week break before deciding when they would fly next?

The hardest thing about flying is knowing when to say no
After over a half a century of flying no one ever died because of my decision not to fly.
Listen Up chief!!!! my "NoodleHead" opening was in no way, shape or form directed towards you being of Aisian Decent. Their was absoluty no intent of bigotry intended by saying that so lets not make this discussion about something it is not so all the bleeding hearts can acuse the big bad Canadian of being Racist for commenting on someones improper Gramar.
My "NoodleHead" opening was only directed towards you so that mabe you would stop to think before submitting a long acuizitory rant about an operator that mabe did not think to call back a "dime a dozen pilot" as many of us are. True enough that it is unfair and mabe even unprofessional of them to lead you along for three weeks. But the reality of this industry is that many operators dont care about anyone they are not going to hire.
Another reality is people out there will not always agree with your opinions as they do not have the same outlook as you on the situation, furthermore it may be deemed as Unprofessional of you to put Curse words towards operators and to others that will give their opinions of you.
And just to Clairify things you all, the "chief" comment in the beging of this post was not directed towards wagon burners.

If you are really THIS ignorant and angry, then there's nothing I can say that'll make you see how your shit does NOTHING to help anyone.
Good day, and enjoy living in fear. I feel for you.
I wouldn't give up if I were you I know a couple of guys who pooched rides at Air Nova that are now flying for Jazz and Skyservice. Just because one company may not want you doesn't mean it's over.

Putting money into aviation is like wiping before you poop....it just don't make sense!
Hey guys just out of curiosity. For those that are in the know. How long does it take after the interview, sim eval, or whatever other hiring practices Georgian has, for them to get back to you? Is 3 weeks typical?
BTW John. I don't mean to sound condescending but "When can I expect a reply?" Is not a bad Q. to ask when you get to the "Do you have any questions for us?" part of the interview.

Two friends of mine interviewed (for the B1900) and did the sim eval quite recently and both had job offers within days.
I'll be the first to say how much it sucks the way pilots are expected to beg and grovel for everything they get in the aviation industry. On the other hand it's not the only place where you are expected to prove you REALLY want the job. It's been almost 8 months since I applied for the job I'm hoping to get soon. (they said they'll finish checking references tommorow then file their report, then analyse all my evaluations, then put me at the bottom of the pile, then if approved put me on the wait list for training) And when I do get it I'll have to do 24 weeks of unpaid training before I'm technicaly hired.
I want the job, I'm willing to sacrifice for it and that's what they're looking for, so once I prove my loyalty to them they'll be loyal to me (It's a very good company). I'm not whining. I'm not gloating. I'm just saying it's not uncommon or unreasonable for companies in many industries to want you to want it and want you to prove it. It is very costly for them to hire people who don't.
Well, I feel sorry for the guy and understand where he is comming from because I've been in similar positions with employers and know how frustrating it can be. However, I don't think I can defend him, considering his last post. My advice is not to the OP is not to put your eggs in one basket. There are other carriers besides Georgian. Another reason could be that they've seen more qualified candidates in the same pool as you, so they received an earlier call. This could be a result of more experience and better performance in the SIM. Just keep pushing your luck. I hope all goes well...

"Aviation is proof that given, the will, we have the capacity to achieve the impossible"
It's threads like these that encouraged Airtids to post his poll about how many would be comfortable with their employer knowing their Avcanada username......maybe everyone should take a minute to think that one through
Why is it that companies are slagged for being tardy, not being reasonable etc., and yet when they post a job offering with minimum qualifcations and a request for no phone calls, literally dozens of applicants who dont meet the minimums feel it is perfectly OK to fax in a resume, and/or phone.
I guess wasting a companies time and resources is not that important if it helps your career goals.
The point being this. If you want companies to respond and treat you with respect, you have to earn it.
Lastly, if others are coming in after you and being hired before you, there probably is a pretty good reason. Maybe you are borderline and they are looking at what they have before making a decision. Do you think they should write you a letter to that effect?
Wow.... this one has gone from spin to recovery, to spin to recovery, to.....
As for John tough break but what can I say keep trying, have you actually walked in to inquire as to your status?
IMHO you really should take it a little bit easier. I'm sure you're really not as short fused as you've let on to be. And if you are perhaps you've picked the wrong career path. In this racket... like it or not you need to be patient.
