By 2010 PAG will be running 8 Dash 8 100's, 4 Q400's and all the current metro II's will have been rebuilt and be fresh for another 50,000 hrs. They'll put Garrett -20's on them and will have an upgross kit to 17,599 pounds, be RVSM approved and true out at 369 kts. The bosses at PAG have a detailed plan to expand routes to exotic destinations and will compete with Skyservice and Transat for routes out of Winnipeg to southern hot spots. We'll put the "rocket booster" back to work on the old metro III's and wait for Transport to approve an in house engineering design (it's so secret, I've only been told it's in the works) to make the III's take off from 2000 foot strips with 19 people on board. After all that, Calm Air will become one of our partners, Keystone will fold and Fast Air will long have run out of town. As for SkyNorth, we'll throw a few scraps to them just to hear them on the radio going into and out of Island Lake.

I'm positive that their 1900 FOs will get all that needs to be said into one, high pitched, single breath rant. :P

We are now up to three! nice.

Sure, that title works for me. Maybe dash/merlin cleaner as well? I'm in cargo now though, so multi-titles apply.

Am I sensing some sarcasticly laced anemosity towards friendly competition? :D Oh well, when Garden Hill signes the exclusivity agreement you wont have to worry about annoying competition such as Keystone and SkyNorth at all any more! On the other hand I wonder what all the other "ownership" communities will think of all the perks they won't see? When control is relinquished to the natives I will ensure to have lots of popcorn and beer ready for the ensuing show!

Biscuit,

If there's no tension between competitors, we'd all be on the same team. :)

Can't have pilots all on the same team, then working conditions, pay, benefits, etc might improve as an industry

Instead its "I'll fly pop & chips for less than you cause my airplane has EFIS/ retractable gear/ turbine/ 2 engines/ etc". Whatever your boss spews to make you fetch, rollover, bendover, etc.

I go out of my way to be cortious and get along withe everyone I run into, regardles of the paintscheme on the bird they fly. I have maintained that attitude since day one, many, many moons ago. I know I've helped or needed help or a favour in the past, and I know the day will come again where that will be the case!! That is the bush. I find that as the experience level is dropping like a lead baloon amongst pilots in the north, airmanship and common courtesy is headed south as well. I have guys pull in and park long after I've shut down to watch them put their ass end right on my nose, so close I can't fire up and leave til they do....WTF?? Then watch them blast the sh!t out out of the bird I am flying.... and yes I know how to park, I ensure anyone else can board or deplane pax without me interupting to the greatest extent possible..... sorry to get derailed but see things like that all the time these days. If that happened not that long ago your name would get around in a hurry.

If they did that to me I would take the valve stems out of their tires the next time I saw their airplane parked....

...that would be karma...

The most difficult thing about flying is knowing when to say no.

After over a half a century of flying I can not remember even one trip that I refused to do that resulted in someone getting killed because of my decision not to fly.

Calm Air is about to be snatched up by EIIF. Fast Air gets raided like a meth lab. Sky North gets whats left. The only thing he seems to be off about was Keystone going under and I think everyone is little surprised they're still around.
