From what I read, Israel pretty well calls all the shots where it comes to the good ol us of a (holes). That being said, the aipac bunch will make sure to install the idiot, half baked senile McCain for the next 8 years or so until he either croaks or they blow us all to smithereens. The current democratic primaries are nothing more than a side show circus act meant to distract the sheep for a time, neither billary bile or obomba are at all likely to become potus - maybe about a 1% chance - and no matter if they did either, the outcome of either of those tried and true communists coming to power is as bad as the McCain option. We canucks have no say in the matter and never did, regardless of the lip service - we will do the bidding of our us masters whether we like it or not. Cretin very craftily skated out of any overt involvement in the Iraqi debacle, and instead mired us in an equally insidious cess pool we refer to as Afghanistan. We will get out of that mess if an when the us as ostensibly contolled by aipac, tells us to. Thats how I see it.

They certainly are not. It's not bashing, of course the delivery could be a somewhat better in most cases.

That's a good question, but I think "why are we in Afghanistan" is a better one.

As I said above, I think the delivery of many of the posts on this forum leaves something to be desired, and one day maybe we'll all be able to have a discussion about the odd sensitve subject without it turning racist/sexist etc etc, but I somehow doubt it.

The reason we are there is because the U.S (as much as the granola munchers hate it) is our greatest ally and they took a punch to the face and we responded. The same would have happened had a Clinton or Obama been in the White House.

I like STL's synopsis of the religion thing. Power ( for Men) profit and greed. And the promise of an afterlife if you behave properly ( kowtow properly) is the marketing scheme. Amazing that we still fall for all that. But we monkies do love a good conspiracy. As for Israel being a good ally of Canada, that seems ridiculous. The US of A is the only reson you don't speak Russian or Japanese. You don't have a military worth talking about, much less one that needs Israel for an ally. Anyway, Israel is OUR greatest partner in the Middle East. Look how they suck up all that Arab anger that could be directed at us?? Did you read about Bin Ladens latest video....even he has crawled on the Palestinian bandwagon. Far more Jews were displaced in Muslim countries after 1948 than were arabs in Israel. Palestine didn't even exist, it was the Trans Jordan part of Jordan. The palestinians could have been absorbed by their arab brothers at any point, and still could be. Anyway, sign me up for the bumper sticker that reads only "Hiroshima, Nagasaki, Mecca and Medina"
