Thanks for the info highlander.
With that many hours assigned to the YWG port recently, how many of your pairings start and / or end in YWG?

Re: Commuting
In January 4 of 4 were YWG. February, 3/4 and March 3/4. April, I got only YYC pairings. The reason was how I bid. If I don't care about days off, I might bid Ports at #1. In May, I did just that and we'll see how it turns out. In April, I needed certain days. With that being said, all my YYC pairings have YWG overnights in them. In fact 1 pairing is all YWG overnights because I bid them.
We also have a feature that let's us drop or add legs so that you could avoid going to YYC if someone picks up a leg. For example, let's say day one is a leg YYC-YWG then YWG to YYZ. You could try and drop the YYC to YWG and HOPE someone picks it up. We often have e-mail lists for commuters . Also, if there are deadheads built into your schedule you might elect to drop it. I have a YYC pairing that ends on the last day with a DH from YWG to YYC so I dropped it.
Bidding your schedule is a bit of an art and science and if ever I figure it out I will let you know

Re: Commuting
Just a quick question for commuters. Does WJ supply any kind of parking pass or are you on your own. I have a upcoming interview and I'm wondering about the commute. For me it would be from YYZ.
Thanks all

Re: Commuting
Unfortunately, outside of YYC you are on your own for parking. If you have a vehicle in YYC you get a pass in the WJ parking lot at no cost.
Every airport though is different. I pay 25 a month in YWG but the YYZ guys pay more...maybe 50...don't quote me on that.
I know it was HOT topic not too long ago but nothing has changed...I don't expect it to.
One nice thing is that WJ sets you up with the right people at the airport and it's automatically deducted from your pay. Keeps it simple.
Good luck on your interview!
