Sorry - I meant that they would probably only consider light visual checks or something like sucking on the wing to test stall warning (where required by an AD) as an out-of-phase task.
The best bet would be to call Transport and ask - but you may not like the answer.

There is no mention of cutting open and inspection of fiber element filters here.
The compliance requirements of the AD do not fall under elementary work and thus need to be signed for by an AME.
