Yeah, that's the big rave they had not too long ago. It was crazy from what I heard. I don't really go to those things though. But they do have some amazing DJ's, from what my friend tells me. Occassionally, they have guest DJ's at Aria as well.

bal en blanc

Post by fingersmac »

bal en blanc takes place every year and the lineups are huge. this past year they had david morales, deep dish, peter rauhofer, tiesto and benny benassi.

not really my cup of tea.

there are some other large parties that happen in montreal that are much better. the last one i went to was cream in sept 2004. the lineup was john digweed, sander kleinenberg, deep dish, ferry corsten and desyn masiello.

http://www.514productions.com/cream/

i dont really go to these huge parties anymore unless someone i know is djing.. that way I don't have to pay the ridiculous ticket prices! ($85).

club scene in montreal is pretty nuts too. aria, stereo, circus..

btw endless: i'm gonna try to download your mix again. i tried a while back but i couldnt get it to play.

i also tried it in real alternative and soundforge with no luck.

alright i'll have to figure out what's up with the file. You aren't the first that have said this. I grabbed the file and it worked for me. I'll see if I can figure this out tonight. I wouldn't mind firing out a newer mix too.

Finally got a mix recorded. So you can all feel the cicha bao bao that only the very select few invited to the private apt #7 parties.

hit the link

http://209.200.13.42/endlesstempfolder/boom2.mp3

Right click the above file and then select "save as". Pick where you want the file and you should be set.

The volume ended up getting recorded too low and some of the mixing is down right crap. But! it's finally up and who knows you might just like it.

The Future Sound of Saskatchewan v1.0

Patrick Zigon - Electric Affair (Original)
Monica - So Gone (Twisted Dee Scumfrog Dub Club Sandwich mix)
Tremendo - Bang (CDR)
Kate Bush Vs Infusion - Running Up That Hill (Infusion mix)
Dirty Vegas - Days Go By (Lucien Foort mix)
Sarah McLachlan - Stupid (Hyper mix)
Underworld - Born Sloppy (Plump DJ's mix)
DJ Shadow - GDMFSOB (U.N.K.L.E unsensored mix)

Hey, endless I didn't know you spun. I had a radio show in Saskatoon for 10 years, playing Goth/Industrial, and I ran a goth nightclub called "Sanctuary" for a few years there also. It's now called The Underground and I think it's still runnning. It was a labor of love; I bet my rent cheque every time the doors opened, but it was a hell of a lot of fun. I think some of the posters are still online, I'll see if I can find 'em.

i finally got a chance to listen to this today.

great mix. a bunch of stuff i'd never heard before too which is always cool.. like the plumps rmx of underworld.

infusion bootleg of kate bush is sick.. took me ages to track down a copy of that record. pretty much everything they do is great.

good stuff. 8)

yah infusion is always good. Their rehash of Jase from Outta Space - Do what you want (infusion breaks mix) has to be one of my favourite tracks of all time.
