talked to my friend today and it's protected in the contract where if the pilot gets fired except gross negligence, layed off, company goes bankrupt, etc the pilot gets paid back in full.

come again?
Maybe you misunderstood my post. I was saying "a bond is a bond" so therefore nothing can sugarcoat that into making one think they are getting a good deal out of signing a bond...regardless of the payback terms.

Was Interviewed - week of 20-25 March - have not heard back yet - was told could take 1-3 weeks before any contact - training bond discussed also in interview - 10k as others have described here - seems more reasonable than others in the industry that I've seen - crossing my fingers.

Was interviewed the last week of March and told the same thing. Spoke to CA yesterday and they said by the end of next week is when final decisions will be made. They also need to go through the process with internal candidates. As for a bond? I was told that because I already have a current PPC on type, I would not be required to pay 10K.

I believe they are waiting for internal bids to shape out. Not sure WHAT they are waiting on, but from inside information I have, there are a few FO and Captain bids they are sorting out internally. Could be waiting for that?

I haven't heard anything back yet either - I might give them a call for an update when I get a chance. They did tell me....' not to worry if you don't get a call back in over 3 weeks '.....so they were well aware that it was going to take some time to complete this round of hiring at the time of interviews.

Heard from co. that a number of those interviewed have called in for updates - responses to interviewees/selections has taken longer than expected due to hiring team still doing 100% of their regular operational work + selection/interviewing/planning - must be swamped - no info on 'when' - 'if' any candidates had been contacted or will be contacted but it sounded as though no calls made yet - also heard they 'might' be looking at hiring an additional 5 pilots than previously planned. If anyone gets contacted please post.

Hey guys...check the mail. I received a PFO today. Thought maybe I had a decent chace seeing as though I have a current SF34 type rating and 750tt on type. Guess they are looking to train their own. Good luck.

Heard from them on Thursday with an offer. YTH ATR. not bad for only having 600 hrs tt. Told them I am unable to come up with the 10,000 required for the bond. They said I could sign a promissory letter. Good luck to all the others.

So I gather the calls have gone out then. Have they hired everyone they need or is the process still ongoing? Can anyone shed any light on this? Thanks.
