Some what agreed. It may have been causing some vertical ascent giving you a better bounce though.By the second bounce, I don't think speed was an issue as much as the vertical descent causing me to keep dropping onto the runway.

The bonus there is you take weight off the wheels. True it won't be hitting the runway as hard, unless you cause oscillations. Then you might get into much more trouble.a bit of throttle to flatten it out
I'm pretty sure you want to choose power to go around. Or remove the power to land.
In some cases it also helps bounce less times before the plane stays on the runway. I'll try to find the video Iflyforpie posted a while ago. It was exciting and demonstrates the problem with too much speed/power as the plane touches down.the colonel wrote:and make sure you get the throttle all the way off.
