Landing from the north, I kept it high and slipped it down to avoid dealing with the cars. Couldn't make out if the power lines crossed the path or were grounded. I'll take a look tomorrow morning.
Ah hell Guys there a nice hole in the trees there that you can go thru coming or going .... :smt040
We use it all the time
The "back" runway is not certified and therefore in the past the Flying School that was there would not use it.
This would cause lots of traffic issued and would expose the students to unnecessary crosswind situations.

Finally managed to drop in for lunch with my Daughters on the way back from getting their G1 licenses. Great service, great food and I'd recommend it to anyone. Pretty busy for a small place on a weekday - including us there were 13 or so customers at 1.30pm.

A good restaurant is good strategy. It will attract people (potential flyers) who like a nice meal while watching airplanes and can make taking a flying lesson a bit more of a family event if SO's and kids can watch.

The management may have noticed that gliders occasionally drop in. If you want a bunch, contact York Soaring and SOSA Gliding Club. They could arrange a tow plane to clear out the gliders and maybe a golf cart for ground handling. Numbers and timing would be a consideration.
