I was onboard a WJA flight that went around due to an "unstabilized approach" into YYZ, as the captain called it. After the flight I asked one of the pilots what that meant, and I guess I got a bit of an abbreviated version. Thanks for the clarification.

A go-around is no poor reflection on the crew or the operator...to the contrary actually.
In our operation we have a non-punitive go around policy. Management were pleased to see an increase in go arounds after this initiative as this indicates that the crews are keeping the operation safe. A well flown missed approach is always a better option than a landing preceded by an unstabilized approach. No one will thank you for pushing an unstabilized approach to a successful landing.
The CADOR thing is another matter. Doesn't mean something unsafe happened. Just a source of statistical data.
