so if Cargojet will be doing the YQT-YWG run....what are they going to use? I cant see them dropping a 757 in for that....any chance they would just contract KFC to keep the Convair going?

so is Cargojet moving towards some new machines? whats going on with all this?

What does KFC plan to do with all the '27's and DC10's.. I know they had an ad out for SO's recently. Does that mean an inevitable lay off when the contract comes to an end in march?

CargoJet is phasing in more 757's and slowly removing the 727's, in addition more 767's are on tap.

Not sure what KFC has planned in the long term.

Cargojet is currently aquiring 6 Boeing 767-300's and bringing in unsure of number of 757's. The 727's were being replaced with the 57's - but now they are keeping 9 727's.

Does anyone know the status of the 727 pilots at KFC these days? I have several friends/former colleagues there that I've lost touch with while overseas and would like to know how they're affected.

Small correction but 4 second officers have left (1 from the 10, 3 from the 27). The rest is correct, however I didn't work today so those numbers may have increased...

A mile of road will take you a mile, but a mile of runway can take you anywhere

CargoJet just signed a lease for two more 767-200ERF's a few days ago aswell bringing the 762F fleet upto 4.

And as mentioned they are obtaining the larger 767-300F's also. The 757's have been getting deployed on former 727 runs so I am not sure if the 727's will be kept to expand the network or not.

[...] the Company entered into agreements to purchase six Boeing 767-300ER (“B767-300”) series aircraft and to lease two Boeing 767-200ER series aircraft. The Company also signed letter of intents (“LOI”) to purchase one Boeing B757-200ER (“B757”) series aircraft and to lease one B757-300 and one B767-300 aircraft. The Company also executed a LOI for the option to purchase five Challenger 601 aircraft that would give the capability to operate emergency medical and other charters.

^ 757-300 Freighter?

If so that would be the first 757-300 freighter in service since they are used as passenger versions by just a few carriers.
That must be typo in the release?

Five 601's, weird. Didn't see that coming. Hopefully they are branch out to far, to quick.
