Maybe they work for Jazz, that illegitimate airline.
I wouldn't call Jazz illegitimate. Soon to be eviscerated, perhaps. Ironic that there will probably be a ton of former Jazz guys applying at the likes of Sunwing when the CPA expires. Who knows, maybe that will be the catalyst that changes their perspective when they realize they aren't "qualified" without an NG rating.
As for Gilles question "although you fail to explain how Air Transat has always hired pilots that do not speak French. Did these pilots find a way into fooling the recruiters that they spoke French ?", it seems to fly in the face of his earlier statement that bilingualism is a requirement. Could it be that on rare occasion where straight-in captains are required that there are times when they have to lower their strict requirements. Maybe he could let us know how it worked for the recent new-hires. Expect no specific response though, again.
Let me guess, unilingual but didn't get the gig with Transat?
The whole question of whether Gilles is "compensated" by Transat seems a bit odd considering it's not exactly a secret he works there...? Or is it extra suspicious if he makes extra compensation?
Either you agree with his argument or you don't - his perceived motivation has nothing to do with it. I think it's hilarious that anonymous posters think they have some right to demand personal information, and that not receiving it proves something (other than they are making asses of themselves).
Only the weak-minded attack the messenger over the message.
