As a matter of fact, I'd like to thank the AC gate agent who upgraded me to 1st class on a ten hour flight for no apparent reason. Also there was the helpful AC check in agent who helped me out with a little problem I had on a different flight. (It was my problem not theirs) Oh yes I wont forget the AC flight attendants on my YVR flight that were most cheerful.
I've never seen the attitude you people bitch about and I have flown extensively with AC.
I was watching the CBC news cast the other day about security concerns brought about by the Auditor Generals latest report. And in typical CBC fashion everytime the reporter said something "scary" about security there would be an AC Airbus taking of from YYZ or an AC Boeing landing at YVR. I guess these security concerns don't affect WJ or Canjet. Now you have the link between the federal govt not doing its job of security, somehow its AC's fault.
Don't forget also, that WJ only flys into the most profitable routes and never had the mandate to service the unprofitable routes that AC was forced to service. In hockey terms they're cherrypickers.
Do I want to fly for WJ or AC? One never knows what the future holds, but right now not particularly. I have no stake in either company but the whole point of my post is that there is good and bad to both airlines.
To Wjgirl and whoever else was helpful with the advice, thanks.
Oh yeah my mother never suspected anyone was a mind reader but since we travel on WJ we know to bring enough food for a snack, since the peanuts don't cut it.
ps to beacon final
in a thread somewhere else on this board you admit to having 400 hrs, is that really any way to talk to Bubbles?
