Thanks for the updates, keep up the good work !
Any chance someone can put together a yearly fleet summary since Sunwing started operating their own aircraft in 2005 ? How many aircraft did Skyserive operate at their peak ?

Not to sure on Skyservice. If you go to planespotters.net or airfleets.net you can see all of the aircraft Sunwing has operated under the historic fleet section. Also on airliners.net you can sort the photos by year to see some of their previous aircraft.
Oct 26 - Travel Service OK-TVP ferried Bucharest-Reykjavik-Toronto and re-registered C-GKVP

What is the point of this thread?
All of this is public knowledge. Anyone who wants to know about the fleet can look it up.
This thread is nothing but another attempt to slam SW.
There is nothing illegal or shifty here. These aircraft wouldn't be here if it was illegal.
Anyway, "keep up the good work", posting information that is already available to anyone who wants it.

Why so testy? Does it affect your life THAT much that you have to gripe about someone making a post? What does it matter to you? Just leave the person alone already, you sure seem to get all uptight about ANYTHING posted about Sunwing.
I for one have no issues with this post and find it informative.

Sunwing738,
Since you are at it, can you please update everyone on the SWG fleet maintenance schedule, check A, B and C, also, MEL status for an individual aircraft and maybe as well the aircraft rotations through verious bases in Canada?
It's getting harder to keep up, the ops site getting cluttered with all kinds of memos.
Thanks,

Several people seem very upset by this thread.
As of today, I count 16 aircraft. The registration is followed by the terms "Long Term" which I use to label the Sunwing permanent year-round fleet, the Dry Leases, which are registered in Canada only for the winter and the Wet Leases, none of which have arrived yet. The 3 letter airline code is the airline the aircraft was sourced from, in the case of a dry or wet lease, the Long terms are labeled "SWG". The date is either the date the aircraft arrived in Canada or the date it was registered in Canada.
CFDBD Long Term SWG 2014/07/10
CFEAK Long term SWG 2009/02/04
CFFPH Long Term SWG 2014/04/30
CFLSW Long term SWG 2008/07/01
CFRZG Dry-lease TOM 2014/10/17
CFTAH Long term TVS 2014/10/14
CFTDW Long term SWG 2013/11/01
CFTJH Long term SWG 2007/04/25
CFTOH Long term SWG 2009/04/08
CFYLC Long term SWG 2013/10/15
CGKVP Dry-lease TVS 2014/10/27
CGNCH Long Term SWG 2014/03/06
CGOFW Long term SWG 2012/04/10
CGOWG Long term SWG 2012/04/24
CGTVG Dry-lease TVS 2014/10/27
CGVVH Dry-Lease TVS 2014/10/14

No one is upset Gilles,
Just don't see the point of this thread. It's ridiculous. All of this info is readily available. This thread is SW bashing, nothing more nothing less. Because you and your flock have nothing else to say, this gets started. It's a none issue, like most of your arguments.

Thanks,
All of that info is held private within the company and since I do not work for Sunwing, or any airline for that matter, I cannot access that info.

As I said in a reply to your first post about this thread, I do it for the love of the industry and my favorite airline which happens to be Sunwing. This thread ran last year and served as a dual purpose to report fleet growth as well as bring issues up with foreign crews. I see no need to separate the two into two different threads. Yes the information is available with a few searches but bringing it all together in a summary (first post) is a very effective way of dispersing information for those who want it and want it fast. If this thread really does irritate you may I suggest not clicking on it in the future. Thanks.

Very good information Sunwing 738. Question, we are about to fly from YYZ to Monetgo Bay in March. The airline is Air Transat however, it states "Operated by CanJet". Does that mean the air craft will be C-FTCZ (lease from Canjet) or could it be any craft from CanJet? Any information you may have would be much appreciated. Thank you

The two Canjet birds that were leased to LOT Polish over the summer have returned.
Oct 31 - C-FYQN has returned to Canjet after lease to LOT Polish Airlines Via Katowice-Reykjavik-Halifax-Toronto.
Nov 1 - C-FYQO has returned to Canjet after lease to LOT Polish Airlines Via Katowice-Reykjavik-Toronto.

C-FDZE, a Thomson aircraft, was ferried from EGGW to CYYZ today. It will turn into C-GDZE in Sunwing's livery.
http://fr.flightaware.com/live/flight/GFDZE
That brings the Sunwing fleet to 17 aircraft, 2 more than it had at the same date last year.

To add:
Oct 31 - OK-TVE ferried Prauge-Reykjavik-Toronto and re-registered C-GRKB
Nov 3 - OK-TVK ferried Ostrava-Reykjavik-Toronto and re-registered C-FGVK

FlighRadar24 shows both OK-TVE and OK-TVK enroute to KEF (Reykjavik) on the indicated dates, but no further. A search on the Canadian registrations does not come up with anything either.

Almost all of the TVS birds have done the trip without an extended layover in Reykjavik, they stop for fuel and continue on-wards to Toronto, It may be an FR24 issue though I don't know, It has happened before with other TVS aircraft where the FR24 will show a flight from Reykjavik to Reykjavik with a 5-6 hour block time consistent with a KEF-YYZ routing.
As for the registrations, I should make them "will be" re-registered ...
Thanks.
Also a small tid-bit, C-FDBD ferried this morning to Trois-Rivieres to be fitted with Scimitar Winglets.

What??? What do you think the purpose of this forum is? Is it not for sharing information, in any capacity, relating to aviation in Canada/Globally?
This is among the most useless and ridiculous posts I've ever read. Though I don't care about sunwing and their fleet for the winter, there might be others that do. Not every post on avcanada has to cater to your interests Rogerdodger2. Good grief my man....

OK-TVM, a Travel Service 737-800 just landed in YUL from KEF.
Last season, it was one of the Travel Service Wet-Leases to Sunwing.
Am not yet certain if this aircraft will be a dry or wet lease, but in any case, it is Sunwing's 20th aircraft.
Edit: The CTA application for the 4 Travel Service Wet Lease stated they would only begin on Nov 13, in 6 days.

Ok, so it's ok for Gilles and people like him to post slanderous accusations and misinformation in an attempt to slam a competitor to his employer, but I call this site the TMZ of aviation and you slam me?!? My point is there is so much misinformation and lies posted as fact, it's like a tabloid rag magazine.
I do worry for you and others like you if you believe half the stuff posted here...

Who says I believe it? You're making assumptions. Like everyone, I take what I read on here with a grain of salt. There's a lot of good information and a lot of misleading information. If this forum wasn't useful, I doubt anyone, including yourself would be posting or reading here. Thanks for your concern but I certainly don't need anyone to worry for me about where I go to seek information. Like I said, I'm handling aviation in Canada just fine.
My apologies to the op for thread detraction.
Cheers
