flyboyboeing wrote:It may not be good news for you, but I think for a vast majority who used to enjoy having a LCC and affordable airfare within Canada, this is a very welcome experiment!! Certain airlines that used to offer great seat sales and reasonable fares seem to have switched their focus. Increased airfares, fewer seat sales, cut services onboard and maximize revenue. I know everyone needs to keep the revenue flowing, but there should be a balance.
There is no reason why I should have to pay $1100 for a flight during a non peak period in November from Western Canada to Florida. Stop the tyranny!! I flew to Europe for less!

I wasn't a huge fan of Jetsgo, but at least they brought in some competition and put a temporary end to the outrageous airfares we are forced to pay!!
If this experiment does work and they become the new WJ, I and many welcome this! I USED TO love flying & supporting WJ. Not any more.

Economics major?

It would be nice if the average consumer had half a clue how much it costs an airline to operate one flight. Why the general public thinks that airlines should be operating at a loss just so they can enjoy low airfares is beyond me.

The Enerjet AD (with one 'd') looks interesting, but why would anyone who is enjoying a long weekend in Vancouver want to return so early on Monday? An afternoon or evening departure from YVR would have made a heck of a lot more sense. Perhaps they are testing the waters for some scheduled service during the busy Christmas season.

Anyone know why the police were hauling off a passenger with a police escort and police dog barking away in Fort McMurray on the 11th?

Can one assume how the experiment is going from this?

Kids receive FREE airfare – Bring the whole family over for Thanksgiving. For a limited time kids pay NO AIRFARE on Enerjet’s Thanksgiving Gobbler flights.

Glad to see EnerJet running a sched this weekend between YYC and YVR. Maybe we'll see a YEG to YVR run sometime soon.

What I would really like to see is EnerJet make a YEG/YYC run to KEF then on to DUB to interline with RyanAir or EasyJet. Dream on.

I met some people in Dublin at the Merchants Pub.... They were working in Fort McMurry Alberta on a rotational basis as a tradesman in the oil and gas industry with some kind of work visa.

Maybe you might be onto something! Instead of a stop in KEF...maybe one in St. John's instead...

Yes, EnerJet will fly direct YEG/YYC/YMM to YYT, make a tech stop, change up the passengers a bit and let them stetch their legs, then its on to olde DUB and the interlining opportunities with the European continents low cost players :)

I once sat down and calculated the distance and fuel burn for a YYT - DUB or SNN run with a 737.

Does EnerJet have ETOPS?
