So what if you got first place in everything, and were never bullied? Then what? Plus if we want to lay blame, blame the Boomers for implementing things like the zero tolerance policy, participation trophies and wrapping kids in bubble wrap. I for one grew up camping, building forts, making huge jumps that I'm amazed never maimed me, and spent pretty much every day outside... The 90's were't all that bad. It's the 2000's kids I'm more worried about.phillyfan wrote:The years of trophies for losers and the effort to stop bullying in schools has resulted in a generation of useless babies. Lets pray Boeing gets those pilot-less planes going asap.

Re: STOP THIS PILOT-IN-WAITING...
Black-Tusk I am not arguing I am responding to this post by you.
I make these posts to point out that the bar for entry into Commercial flying is low, in other words it is real easy to become a pilot.
For sure a few do enter the business and work real hard and get enough experience to make a fairly decent living as a pilot.
But generally speaking it is a blue collar occupation that has few real barriers to entry.
For sure it can be very satisfying for a lot of people and for sure there are a lot of different kinds of flying.
In my opinion the best paying job I had was teaching advanced flying, the most interesting and challenging flying wise was Agricultural flying.
The worst job I had flying wise and day to day working conditions was air show flying.
The most boring for me was sched airline.
So how is expressing my opinion arguing?
For some reason it appears to me you have issues with my posts on the subject of aviation.Yes, we all know what your views are on the subject.

The hardest thing about flying is knowing when to say no
After over a half a century of flying no one ever died because of my decision not to fly.

My issue with you Cat, is that you think you are superior to everyone else in on this site and from the way you seem put it, Canadian aviation in general (TC?). If you mean to or not you come across extremely condescending in nearly every post you make. And no that is not the "millennial" in me speaking. That's the human.

Well you are entitled to your opinion Black-Tusk and if I come across as superior and condescending so be it.
I hope there are some positive things I have posted over the years that have helped at least one member of this forum.
Anyhow we can make life easier for each other in the future by not responding to what the other poster writes.
Good luck in your flying career.
